Andy Martin
Andy Martin, Vice President of Operations for Athens Builders, brings more than 18 years of experience in residential construction, purchasing, project management, and operational leadership. His background includes owning and operating his own building company, as well as more than 15 years managing purchasing and construction operations for companies with annual revenues exceeding $10 million.
Throughout his career, Andy has developed a reputation for keeping projects organized, on budget, and built to a high standard. His expertise spans construction scheduling, cost control, purchasing, subcontractor and supplier negotiations, contract management, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and coordination between field operations, sales teams, and financial leadership. His ability to create efficient systems and strengthen vendor relationships has resulted in significant cost savings while maintaining the quality expected in a custom home.
Andy previously played an important role in the success of Grandview Homes, helping oversee construction operations and ensuring projects were completed efficiently without sacrificing craftsmanship or attention to detail. His combination of hands-on building experience and operational management made him an integral part of Grandview’s growth and reputation in Middle Tennessee.
Earlier in his career, Andy was a LEED-certified Green Builder and served on the Board of Directors for the Rutherford County Building Association, further expanding his knowledge of building practices, industry standards, and responsible construction.
Today, Andy brings that experience into the next chapter with Athens Builders. As Vice President of Operations, he will be instrumental in developing the systems, relationships, and construction standards that will support Athens as it grows. Working alongside Steve Bone, Andy’s focus is on creating a building company where craftsmanship, efficiency, transparency, and thoughtful design work together—allowing Athens to deliver an exceptional experience from the first plans through the final walkthrough.

Steve Bone
Steve Bone, President and Owner of Athens Builders, brings more than 25 years of experience in custom home building, design, land development, and residential construction throughout Middle Tennessee. Over the course of his career, Steve has helped plan, design, and build several hundred single-family homes, townhomes, and commercial projects, while also developing the operational systems, teams, and processes required to successfully scale a homebuilding company.
Before founding Athens Build, Steve held senior leadership roles with Southeastern Building Corporation and Ford Custom Classic Homes, where he oversaw construction operations, purchasing, scheduling, vendor relationships, warranty programs, architectural review, sales training, and community development. He also played an instrumental role in helping introduce and execute the vision for one of Williamson County’s first master-planned, mixed-use communities, navigating everything from architectural standards and streetscapes to lot planning, landscaping, and centralized sales.
Steve later led Grandview Homes, where he brought decades of experience together to create a respected homebuilding company known for quality construction, thoughtful design, and attention to detail. Grandview successfully completed numerous homes throughout Middle Tennessee and further established Steve’s reputation for combining strong construction management with a customer-focused approach.
Now, with Athens Builders, Steve begins the next chapter of his career as Owner and President—giving him the opportunity to bring everything he has learned over the past 25+ years under one vision. Athens represents the freedom to have full creative control over the homes, designs, materials, and overall building experience, with a focus on creating distinctive homes and renovations that reflect both the client and Steve’s commitment to craftsmanship.
